This course explains a set of proven approaches to model building, calibration, and alternative analyses. The course outlines an organizational method that reflects the objectives of the project, statistical measures, and strategies for adjusting the model to achieve calibration. The content is useful for practitioners, program managers, and software developers. The material is based on Traffic Analysis Toolbox Volume XIV: Guidebook on the Utilization of Dynamic Traffic Assignment in Modeling , FHWA‐HOP‐13‐015, Chapters 7 through 9.
